Had a few curries from here ( Korma ) and never had a bad one. Very tasty food, friendly staff. Excellent.

The Spice Island take is owned by the same family who have the Jeera Indian restaurant on Parkgate.
The Jeera is a top restaurant but unfortunately the food in Spice Island seems to come out of the same pan as most resembles a stodgy spicy stew.
Normally any curry is palatable at the end of the night out but so many times I have ticked myself for letting my guard down by thinking it's a good idea on the way home.
For people who go here on a regular basis then good on to you all as obviously your taste bugs and asbestos lines stomachs have got accustomed to this food but you should really think about trying somewhere else even just for a change.
It's a shame about the food as the staff are really nice.
